An Ordinary General Chapter is a fundamental assembly within the Order of Saint Augustine. It is the body to which the supreme power of governance in the Order belongs. This chapter serves as a representation of all the friars. It is distinct from other types of chapters, such as provincial, vicariate, or local chapters, and is understood as a type of "General Chapter" as distinguished from an "Intermediate General Chapter".
