Order of Saint Augustine in Asia and the Pacific (OSAAP)
The Order of Saint Augustine in Asia and the Pacific (OSAAP) is the regional union of Augustinian circumscriptions committed to fostering closer collaboration and a more coordinated evangelizing presence across Asia and the Pacific. Established in response to the Constitutions of the Order and the mandate of the 2001 Ordinary General Chapter, OSAAP reflects the desire of the Augustinians in the region to strengthen communion, shared responsibility, and common mission while respecting the autonomy of each circumscription.
Comprising Provinces, Vicariates, and Delegations throughout Asia and the Pacific, OSAAP serves as a forum for fraternal dialogue, mutual support, and the sharing of resources, particularly in the areas of initial and ongoing formation, Augustinian history, and spirituality. It also provides a space for discerning common challenges, coordinating pastoral initiatives, and implementing the policies of the Order in a culturally diverse and rapidly changing context.
Through cooperation in proclaiming the Gospel and promoting Augustinian life in the region, OSAAP contributes to the vitality and growth of the Order’s mission in Asia and the Pacific.
