Who We Are

One mind and one heart on the way to God

We are Augustinians

We are members of the Order of Saint Augustine, a worldwide religious family in the Catholic Church inspired by the life, thought, and spirituality of Saint Augustine of Hippo. Rooted in a shared search for God, we live in community, serve the Church, and engage the world through pastoral ministry, education, social outreach, and missionary work.

Our Inspiration: Saint Augustine

Saint Augustine (354–430) was a seeker of truth whose restless heart found peace in God. His experience, writings, and pastoral life continue to shape who we are today. From him we learn to unite faith and reason, interior life and active service, personal conversion and communal responsibility.

“You have made us for yourself, O Lord, and our heart is restless until it rests in you.”
— Saint Augustine

Our Way of Life

One Mind and One Heart on the Way to God

At the heart of Augustinian life is community. We live together not simply to share space, but to seek God together, in prayer, dialogue, friendship, and mutual service. Our community life is marked by simplicity, fraternity, and a shared commitment to the Gospel.

Key elements of our way of life:

  • Common life rooted in friendship and mutual charity

  • Prayer and contemplation nourished by Scripture and the liturgy

  • Shared discernment in listening to God and one another

  • Mission expressed through service to the People of God

Walking with the Church Today

Faithful to our tradition and attentive to the signs of the times, we seek to respond creatively to today’s challenges especially those related to youth, culture, social inequality, peace, and care for our common home. Guided by the Gospel and the wisdom of Saint Augustine, we strive to be servants of unity in a fragmented world.
