With deep thanksgiving to God and with our Augustinian hearts overflowing with joy, we wish our brother, Pope Leo XIV, the love and support of the entire Augustinian Family on this first anniversary of his election as the Successor of Saint Peter.

In these past twelve months, Pope Leo has shown the world what we always knew to be true: that his life and his ministry are rooted in a deep love of Jesus Christ and in a commitment to love others without measure. Pope Leo's brothers and sisters in Augustine have known well that his love of community forms the lens through which he sees great possibilities for the world and the Church: we are inextricably linked to each other in a spirit of charity, forgiveness, hope, struggles and joy.

This sense of community has also led Pope Leo, throughout his life and ministry, to be attentive to the most vulnerable and needy of our sisters and brothers: in them shines the face of Jesus in an especially beautiful and life-giving way.

Pope Leo's very first message to the crowd on May 8, 2025 was to wish PEACE to the world, the peace of the Risen Christ. It has also been one of his most consistent messages during the course of this year, and in the face of so many wars and divisions. "Peace be with you."

On this first anniversary of that blessed day, the Augustinian Family wishes our brother and our Holy Father, our love and our prayers and our promise of faithful service. Congratulations! Ad Multos Annos!
