On Thursday, July 10, the fraternities of Augustinian lay members from different parts of Mexico renewed their consecration to Our Lady of Help during the traditional pilgrimage to the Sanctuary of Our Lady of Help, located at the Church of Saint Augustine in Morelia, Michoacán.
As every year, lay faithful, fraternities of Augustinian laity, together with Augustinian friars from the various communities that make up the Province, gathered to take part in the Holy Mass celebrated at noon in the Sanctuary, united in soul and heart.
The Eucharist was presided over by the Prior Provincial of the Province of the Most Holy Name of Jesus of Mexico, Fr. Usai Heleodoro Romero Martínez, OSA.
As his provincial secretary, Fr. Leonardo Andrés Andrade Gómez, OSA described, these were moments of profound celebration and thanksgiving to God “for the graces received and for the vocation and fidelity of the brothers who this year celebrate 25 and 50 years of religious and priestly life.”
“We ask for the maternal intercession and protection of Our Lady of Help and commend ourselves to her for the present and the future of our beloved Province.”
