From July 5 to 7, the Intermediate Provincial Chapter of the Colombian province was held in the convent of Santo Tomás de Villanueva, Bogotá
During these days, in the midst of a fraternal and prayerful atmosphere, all the topics related to the past Ordinary Provincial Chapter were discussed. On the first day, after the opening words by Fr. Israel Jiménez RamÃrez, OSA. Prior Provincial and president of the Chapter, the schedule, the Chapter officials and the order of presentation of the respective reports were approved. Afterwards, Fr. Ronal AntÃvar Muriel, OSA., led a moment of spiritual reflection, presenting an Augustinian meditation on the Holy Spirit, who helps us to preserve charity, to love the Truth and to desire unity to reach eternity. At the end of the morning, the votive Eucharistic celebration to the Holy Spirit took place, and in the afternoon the presentation of reports from the different commissions of the Province began, in which the objectives and strategies were reviewed, the advances were identified that have been given and proposals were made to advance in what is needed.
In addition to the presentation of reports from the provincial commissions, the report of the Unicervantes University Foundation, the Secular Augustinian Fraternities, the Ciudad de Dios Foundation and the Ecuadorian Province were also presented.
Along with the Brothers of the Province, the Provincial Superior of the San Miguel Arcángel Province of Ecuador, Fr. Wilson Posligua, OSA, was also present, accompanied by two more brothers.
Solemn professions
One day after the end of the chapter, in the same convent of Santo Tomás de Villanueva, the Province of Our Lady of Grace of Colombia joyfully celebrated the solemn vows of Br. Brayan Fernando Ulloa Guillén, OSA and Br. Pablo Steven Contreras Salazar, OSA, in the framework of a solemn Eucharist presided over by the Prior Provincial, Fr. Israel Jiménez RamÃrez.
