Evangelization & Pastoral
The International Commission for Evangelization and Pastoral Ministry has as its purpose the encouragement of the many and varied apostolates of the Order with profound Augustinian charism for the renewal of the Church’s life as an effective way of evangelization.
Nature and Aim of the Commission

-
To recognize the many aspects of ministry undertaken by the friars of the Order.

-
To invite reflection across the Order, based on Evangelii Gaudium, as to the merits of our present ministries.

-
To seek local community, circumscription and international identification of the issues that face us in our ministries and our responses to these challenges.

-
To assist the Order to identify where Augustinian spirituality permeates our present ministries and where it may be better developed to enhance the Gospel message.

-
To provide multiple ways to communicate these issues and responses to the members of the Order.

-
To promote renewed pastoral ministry more attentive to the current challenges of each place and more focused on the work of evangelization which stimulates a renewal of liturgical and sacramental life in our ecclesial communities.

-
To promote the centrality of common life in the development of our apostolates.

-
To promote the parish as a community of communities.

-
To promote and strengthen local and regional meetings across the Order on evangelization and pastoral ministry.
